May the Fourth be with you, my young padawan. It’s that time of the year once more when fans of the Star Wars franchise put on their Darth Vader or Rey Skywalker costume to show their allegiance to the dark side or to the Resistance. Exciting day, this is. Yes, hrrmmm.

I Find Your Lack of Faith Disturbing

There have been a lot of discussions on whether Star Wars was inspired by the Bible. Many people point to several themes and instances in the films are similar to certain events in the Holy Book. They argue, for example, that Anakin Skywalker resembled Jesus Christ in a lot of ways. Both are born from a virgin

Some of Lucas’ other films clearly had Christian elements. A couple of Indiana Jones films, for example, are about the lost Ark of the Covenant and the Holy Grail. These two are, of course, items mentioned in the Bible.

For the record, George Lucas was greatly influenced by The Hero with A Thousand Faces when he wrote Star Wars. The book by Joseph Campbell was first released in 1949 and has since influenced millions of people. If you haven’t read it yet and wish to know how this book paved the way for a successful franchise, you can get it as a May the Fourth present for yourself.

There are other books you can include in your list of Star Wars Day gift ideas. Star Wars: The Jedi Path and Book of Sith Deluxe Box Set, for example, should be a good book collection to give old and newbie fans. If you want your kids to join you in the light or dark side, you can get them this deluxe box set, too.

The box set includes The Jedi Path, which details the ancient Jedi training that Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, and other Jedis had to learn. The Book of Sith, meanwhile, shows the six legendary dark texts that Darth Sidious have collected. Both books come with handwritten commentaries from other Star Wars characters such as Darth Vader, Mace Windu, Qui-Gon Jinn, Darth Maul, and other wielders of the Force.

I Love You. I know

What better way to show how much you and your spouse are into each other than to wear couple shirts. And what better way to show your love for the iconic franchise than these awesome Star Wars Day gift ideas: funny statement T-shirts.

Pew Pew Wars shirts from Ann Arbor T-shirt Company are just what Doctor Kalonia ordered. These shirts are 100% ringspun cotton with 30/1 fine knit jersey. The super smooth and soft shirts with well-known Star Wars noises come in both men and women sizes so you can celebrate May the Fourth in style.

In My Experience There Is No Such Thing As Luck

Obi-Wan Kenobi once said that he didn’t believe in luck. That’s probably not the case when you play Monopoly, particularly the Star Wars Complete Saga Edition.

The popular board game gets a Star Wars makeover. The board and cards peppered with amazing artwork featuring scenes, characters, and symbols from all nine episodes. Even the Monopoly pieces were given the Star Wars treatment. Instead of houses, cats, top hats and Scottie dogs, you get to play with X-wings, TIE Fighters, and mini busts of popular characters. This is definitely one of the coolest Star Wars gift ideas you can ever think of.

If Only You Knew The Power Of The Dark Side

So many Jedis have been swayed to join the dark side. The most popular perhaps is Anakin Skywalker. Yep, Darth Vader himself was a former Jedi. Fun fact: “Vader” is the Dutch word for “father” while the Germans call their dads “vater.”

Now wouldn’t it be nice to get your very own vader a toaster as a Star Wars Day present? Why a bread toaster, you ask? Because you’ll get to know if he prefers the Light Side or the Dark Side… for his bread.

The Star Wars Darth Vader Elite 2-Slice Toaster from Uncanny Brands looks like Darth Vader’s helmet with the top sliced off with a lightsaber. The toaster burns the iconic Star Wars logo on one side of the bread. Adjust the dial to get the Light Side or the Dark Side.

Do. Or Do Not. There is No Try

The wise and adorable Yoda gets the Funko treatment. Well, sort of. The popular toy and collectible manufacturer presents Funko Pop! Star Wars: The Mandalorian – The Child. Those who’ve seen The Mandalorian know that The Child is not a young Yoda but someone belonging to the same species as the Jedi.

Not all Star Wars fans will want a child but they definitely would love owning The Child. This will surely be one of the cutest Star Wars Day gift ideas you can give away.

I’ve Got A Bad Feeling About This

Remember the time when you were so drunk that you did whatever your friends dared you to do? Probably not since you were too sloshed to remember anything. If you weren’t that tanked up, you probably thought that the stunt was bad idea. But you did it anyway to impress your equally smashed friends. Nothing like the possibility of losing a limb just for some laughs, huh?

You and you’re pals are, hopefully, responsible drinkers now who enjoy a bottle or two every now and then. Since it’s May the Fourth, what better way to toast to the good times than with novelty bar glasses courtesy of Seven20. The Star Wars 16-Ounce Retro-Themed Lando’s Lounge & The Light Side Jedi Gym Pint Glass Set. It’s like taking a sip of your poison in the Mos Eisley cantina.

Of course you have to open you beer bottle first before pouring that bubbly goodness into your new favorite Star Wars pint glass. You’ll need a Star Wars Rebel Alliance Millennium Falcon Metal Bottle Opener for that. It’s made of zinc alloy so it should withstand whatever stunt you’re still thinking of doing.

Why, You Stuck Up, Half-Witted, Scruffy-Looking, Nerf-Herder!

Princess and later General Leia Organa is not one to hold her tongue. She called Luke Skywalker short and Chewbacca a big walking carpet. Leia also let it all out upon meeting Imperial officer Governor Tarkin saying she recognized his foul stench and that she expected him to be holding Darth Vader’s leash. Kind of reminds you of your mother, doesn’t she?

No matter how terrifying moms may sound sometimes, we love them with all the Force can offer. Since Mother’s Day is coming, get your mom or your wife one of the craziest Star Wars Day gift ideas ever – a Princess Leia costume.

If she can pull it off, get her the Princess Leia Slave Costume. She’ll get lots of laughs wearing that outfit while taking out the trash, which is basically the only thing you can do right now while dressed to the nines.

Since we’re talking costumes, you or your son can dress up as Ben aka Kylo Ren. It’d really funny and unforgettable to see your wife dressed up as Leia and your son wearing the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Child’s Deluxe Kylo Ren Costume on their way to the trash bin. After the lockdown and once the world is free of the coronavirus disease, they can still wear their costumes to the next Halloween Party. Let’s just hope it doesn’t take that long before we can finally go out without a worry, though.
